We're a small cleaning company based in Brampton, Cumbria. We started because we saw how confusing and inconsistent cleaning services could be, and we thought there was a better, more straightforward way to do it.

How we started

Started small, stayed local

Brampton Cleaning Services began in 2018 as a one-person operation. Our founder, Sarah, had spent years working for larger cleaning companies and kept running into the same problems — unreliable schedules, different cleaners each visit, and very little communication with customers.

She decided to start something smaller and more focused. The idea was simple: a local service where clients actually know who's coming to their home, where you can call with a question and get a real answer, and where the work is done properly without having to chase anyone.

Six years later, we're still based in Brampton and still operating the same way. We've grown slowly and carefully — adding new team members only when we're confident in their work — and the majority of our clients have been with us for years.

The way we think about cleaning

We have a few core beliefs that shape everything we do.

Reliability over everything

When we say we'll be there at 9am on a Thursday, we're there. Not "sometime in the morning", not 45 minutes late with no message — on time, as agreed. We know how disruptive it is when services don't show up as expected, and we take that seriously.

Honesty about what we do

We describe our services clearly and accurately. We don't overpromise. If a job is outside our scope, we'll tell you rather than attempt it badly. You'll always know what's included and what isn't before we start.

Consistent people

We try to send the same cleaner to regular clients wherever possible. It means you don't have to re-explain how you like things done every time, and it builds a level of trust that makes everything easier — for both sides.

Straightforward communication

We don't make you go through a call centre or fill out three forms to change a booking. If something comes up — a rescheduling request, a question about pricing, a concern — you can just get in touch and we'll sort it out.

Sensible product choices

We use cleaning products that are effective without being unnecessarily harsh. Where we have the option, we choose products with lower environmental impact — not because it's a marketing point, but because it's the sensible thing to do.

Fully insured, properly equipped

All team members are covered by our public liability insurance. We carry our own equipment and supplies to every job. You don't need to worry about providing anything or about what happens if something goes wrong — we're covered.
